In the spirit of the good times in old-time america
In colonial America, every town/village would have a blacksmith, apothecary, milliner….and a still house. It was a small scale industry that provided quality, handmade liquor to the local community.
Crooked Tune Distillery is a bit like your local bakery… but selling high proof, delicious spirits.
crooked TunE:
A musical piece that deviates from the standard structure. Ever evolving, providing a new experience in every tune… or bottle.
The making of spirits in America in the prohibition era often went hand-in-hand with old-time folk music: fiddles, banjos, guitars and mandolins.
Those were certainly good old days.
About the process
Crooked Tune’s copper pot stills were designed and built by Aaron in Sydney’s Innerwest. The short columns give the spirits a full, rich flavour.
The entire grain-to-glass process happens within the tight confines of the underground still house: the grain is ground up, the mash is made, fermented, double distilled, barrelled, bottled, labelled… and enjoyed.
The distillery
A part of Precinct 75 in St Peters, the space is a fully functional distillery featuring a cozy, speakeasy style tasting room.
It’s a great place to have a drink and a chat!
